Jersey Alzheimer's Association

Jersey Alzheimer’s Association is a Jersey charity for local people whose lives have been touched by dementia.

The Jersey charity was doing great work in the community already but there was a recognition that with a bit more of a structured approach much more could be achieved – heightened awareness of the services and better fundraising.

We started with refreshing the brand and strapline to reflect the positive attitude of the charity. The Forget-Me-Not icon was re-drawn in an arts style which lends itself as a graphic pattern for literature and promotional items. The strapline was written in collaboration with the charity’s Trustees to inform people of the charity’s purpose in an instant 'Awareness, Understanding, Support.'

A positive conversational brand language was developed and a strong typographic style to give the messages character and stand out. The brand colours of Forget-Me-Not purples and leafy greens were used in contrast building a strong identity. 

A set of leaflets was produced, working alongside the charity Educator and Counsellor, which are available in the drop-in office and given out at the community events. We made the titles big and bold in the eye-catching brand style so they could be read and identified instantly. 

We worked with Photographer Stacey Yates (StoryTeller) to build a portfolio of images from the charity’s events: Musical Memories, Arts Exploration, Tea Dance and the Brook Street Pop-up Stall.  The images were used within the leaflets and online. 

Signage was created for the exterior of the new building, as well as pop-up stands, feather flags and an A-Board to promote walk-ins and for community events. 

A full set of promotional items was produced including a set of talky occasion cards, pens, pin badges, balloons and car stickers.

The website and Social media were also refreshed using the original structure but reskinning with the new brand, giving the digital platform an instant lift and positive feel. 

Overall the brand refresh was a huge success and embraced by the team and the charity’s Trustees.
