States of Jersey Future Hospital
Following the government Health & Social Services White paper consultation, the States of Jersey concluded we need new hospital services for a healthier Jersey.
We were briefed to create a brand for the ‘Future Hospital’ project.
Communication with the public was key so it was important that the branding was friendly and approachable, as well as modern to reflect the essence of the name and the proposed facility.
It was crucial that the public felt included in the process and aware of the major developments.
We designed a smart logo which combined the initials of ‘Future Hospital’ into a building. A style was set up featuring a combination of icons and photography which were presented within an overlaying circle style. These was surrounded by an inter-connecting futuristic pattern giving the branding a modern, technology feel.
We wanted the branding to take on a local feel too, so as the brand progressed we created an illustration which ran along the bottom of all collateral showing island life alongside the local landmark of Elizabeth Castle. This reinforced the idea of the new hospital being something that will eventually sit as part of everyday life for all islanders.
The branding was revealed as part of the launch to show the public the plan for the initial hospital proposal. The literature also incorporated photos of the proposed site/s with the title ‘building a better hospital for Jersey'
Philippa MacAndrew, Project Support Officer, Future Hospital commented: ‘We approached Üba to assist with our campaign to engage widely with the public on the Future Hospital, having previously used their expertise with our branding.
There was a lot of information to share from a process which was the product of several years’ work. Üba suggested that we use infographics to represent our key messages in an accessible way. The ideas they put forward were simple and powerful and Üba then combined them into posters, pop-up banners, leaflets and content for our website.
Üba were professional in their approach and able to react swiftly to changes. They quickly understood our brief and delivered high quality work.’
